Today we’re speaking to Ian and Lynsey, the brother and sister team behind family business Estuary Living. After relocating from Scotland to Essex, they joined forces with their father and began a successful property career focussing on high end HMOs and Serviced Accommodation.

In this episode we talk some big numbers with Anthony Laville, founder of Volume Property. 

We look at his favourite rent to rent deal, a 39 bedroom purpose built student accommodation block, which really got him started with his property investing career, we talk about his pipeline of projects with an estimated GDV of £100 million, and his delight at being behind Birmingham's first co-living project with around 250 residents.

This episode looks in detail at the first three months running our first two serviced accommodation units - a 2 bedroom apartment and a 1 bedroom apartment in a mixed use block we recently developed.  

We look at the occupancy and performance statistics over our first few months of bookings, as well as a review of the different OTAs (online travel agents - spoiler ALERT: one of them was terrible!) and where the bookings came from, the financial details of them (income, expenses and profit) and some insights into what we think is working well and where we've got room for improvement. 

I'd love to hear your thoughts on our figures as well. Being totally new to SA, it'd be nice to sense check whether our figures are about right or need some work.
